Yawn-Al-Watani

A county so holy in itself. A country so pure. A country so open. A country which revolves around the Islamic shariah. A country with two the holiest places of Islam. A country with extreme weather fluctuations. A country that provides cheap oil. A country symbolic of peace.

I am talking about none other than my own kingdom of Saudi Arabia. My beloved nation, where I grew up. It made me what I'm today.

The country gives you all the luxuries of life irrespective of your financial status. It gives you the pleasure experiencing the utmost tranquility by performing umrah as well as hajj. It offers a great opportunities to greet the Prophet Muhammad SAWS. It gives you the delight of driving car at above 240KM/HR. For me, that is heaven and will always be.

Saudi Culture; It is the thing which differentiates Saudi Arabia from the rest of the countries across the globe. Firstly, it strongly follows shariah, i.e. Islamic law. It has never seen women without the black cloth covering their body and face. It has never seen a mix of men and women (Non-Mahram). It has never seen a single shop open during Salah times. Secondly, it has its own traditions, festivals, food etc. Their marriages, their dress code, their unique way of celebrating birthday parties and everything makes Saudi Arabia so different from the other countries. How can you define a country which is mutual to no other country on the planet?

23rd of September, is celebrated as the National Day of Saudi Arabia. Today, this year, it has been 84 years since King Abdul-Aziz announced this country as a Kingdom. Every year since then, 23rd September is celebrated on a grant scale in every small and big city of Saudi Arabia. Children, adults, olds, women, everyone comes on the streets and show their excitement and enthusiasm towards the country! Painting cars, holding flags, face coloring, wearing flags as shawls are too mainstream there. The Capital of Saudi Arabia, Ar Riyadh, the city where I reside, gets decorated with about 1.2 million flags. The country turns green. This is how crazy my country is.

People go crazy! Guys there can drift anything that has wheels. Women too are crazy of setting their hands upon steering wheels, but it’s prohibited. It is a country where one liter of water costs more than one liter of petrol. Buying huge cars is no big deal. It is a country equipped with latest of technologies and advancements still in progress.

If you belong to such a great nation, what more would you want? Alhamdulillah!
