Talent in the nerves of India

I believe, people in India are gifted with talent. Talents may be artistic or technical, mental or physical, personal or social. From begging (doing that requires talent too :P) to fixing an airplane engine. From writing accounts to filing income tax files. From fabricating metals to building a tower. Talent, literally leaks out from people here.

Every talent beholder don't get a proper platform to express the talent within. Indian Government doesn't do anything to fabricate the talent of Indian students. Instead developed countries like United States Of America, Canada, Australia etc value and appreciate the hidden talent of students. A recent article on Times Of India depicts that about 36% of scientists at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are Indians. Such a thing of pride for Indians. But if those people of NASA worked for their own nation, we would be more proud.

Now, if I talk about my self, I had/have many talents too. Which I could never discover. One of them was discovered when I got an opportunity given by my till date favorite professor (Awab Sir), which was to design multiple posters/banners. I always admired people using Photoshop and making their ordinary photographs extra-ordinary. And today, after hours of time investment on YouTube and net surfing, I can work on multiple designing software(s). If they can do it, you can do it too. Story doesn't end here. It continues until one's last breath.

The degree of uniqueness in yourself gets into you when you start doing something unusual. Which no one has ever done. That talent inside me is yet to be discovered. Hopefully, I'll hunt that down soon.

The other day I was waiting at the xerox center to get my notes xeroxed. Beside the xerox center there was a small florist shop. I had no option but to see the florist sitting on a thick red plastic doing his chores. The guy wearing banyan and dull gray color trousers with a gold chain around his neck, was master at his job. He worked with supersonic speed. He tied threads, roses, jasmines and big leaves on a steel string so fast making it impossible for me to see what he was doing. The accuracy, the art of tying knots, that was indeed a talent. Not everyone can do it. Tremendous practice and efforts are the basic ingredients required to do that kind of stuff. Not everyone praises them. No work is small.

All kind of works need talent. And in a country like India, If talent is valued, it will definitely transform into a developed country from a developing country. "Most of the talent of the country is found in the last benches" - Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

P.S Seeing a small kid performing on TV show enforced me to put some light on talent that Indian people hold within themselves. Absolute beauty.
