Deeewali
Diwali aka Deepawali aka festival of lights is an ancient festival of Hindu celebrated in autumn every year. It basically signifies spiritual victory of light over darkness. Good over bad. Knowledge over ignorance. Hope over despair. Positivity over negativity. The ritual of this spiritual festival stretch over five long days. But the main night of Deepawali coincides with the darkest and in full moon light according to the Hindi lunisolar month 'kartika'. Which falls midst mid-October and mid-November in accordance to Georgian Calendar. Cleaning and renovating houses and offices is a ritual done prior festivities begin. The first day begins with a Dhanteras puja/worship of the goddess of money and wealth! Followed by Naraka chaturdasi on the second day.
