Engineer's Day

15th September, 2014

Engineer's Day.

Midst of September, accurate, everyone who has some relation with engineering celebrates Engineer's Day in India. To be honest, till date, I never knew why we celebrate and on what occasion! Thanks to our Director sir who gave us a brief introduction to this day and the person behind the scenes. THE QUALITY PERSON,THE BEST ENGINEER, THE MOST HUMBLE,THE BEST DRESSED, A BHARAT RATNA WINNER, one and only Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. He is held in high regard as a pre-eminent engineer of India. This was about Engineer's day.

What did we actually do to celebrate it?

We had organized a Robot championship in college named RoboChamps'14. I was a part of designing team and RoboSoccer team. Handling two things at same time was big challenge, but came up with both of them on time Alhamdulillah. That boosted my self confidence. I proved my self that I can do multiple work at same time and in a given time constraint. How much more do you want now? No one gets that chance? Or they do? No, they don't.

Day started with a boring lecture of DBIRS. I had never attended that kind of lecture before. Passed that one hour some how. Wore the t-shirt, which I had designed. Seeing all the coordinators wearing what you made was indeed a moment of pride.

In the inauguration ceremony, Director Sir, Burhan Harris Sir and our chief guest encouraged us so much that we all were energized to work even harder and take AIKTC to another level. I remember words of Awab Sir, "Aisa kaam karo ke log boley, Jo college ki building abhi tak nahi bani, waha se ye aaya hai. Waha Academics ke saath talim bhi dee jati hai." All that couldn't get better.

To add more to my happiness I got to know, that our track RoboSoccer has maximum entries among all the 12 tracks. All the twelve tracks were winded up but still our track was getting entries. Alhamdulillah. Worked hard, to get the best out of what we made.

RoboChamps'14, On the occasion of teachers day was held with a sole purpose of magnifying hidden talents of students. Also, It was so kind of EXTC department to sponsor Circuit Mafia with 50% of total profit for the project of BE Mechanical students working for National Level GoKart Competition. I hope they win it and make a bang. In shaa Allah. Fingers crossed.

Blessed to be the part of such great institute where "Padai ke saath taalim bhi di jati hai".
